Benitses is a sleepy fishing village with numerous tavernas and bars along with a very pretty sandy beach and fishing harbour. For those who are fit, there is a well marked walk up into the hills to see the fresh-water springs. Well worth the effort - just to see the wildlife away from all it all. Back down to beach level, there is also a shell museum and traditional fishing harbour to explore.
